The State of Ohio built Ohio House at the 1876 Centennial Exhibition to showcase the state's industrial capability and natural resources. As the only state building left from the Centennial, the Ohio House has a storied history for all World Fair lovers. Recently it has been converted into a lovely, convenient meeting place for business people those just looking to get away for a bite to eat.

During the 1876 Centennial Exhibition, Ohio House was flanked on States Drive by buildings representing other parts of the country and is one of two exhibition structures in Fairmount Park to survive into the 21st century.  The other, Memorial Hall, is the future home of the Please Touch Museum.  World’s Fair history buffs take note.
